Finding Her
Somatic-based therapy to strengthen, ignite and empower women
Trauma-informed practices that go beyond nervous system regulation.

Welcome to Finding Her
FINDING HER provides somatic-based practices tailored specifically to meet the needs of the female nervous system. These practices are trauma informed and consist of nervous system regulation and stabilisation, however with the additional focus of empowering women to become the HEROINE of their own journey.
Using a bottom-up approach (meaning working with the body first), FINDING HER inspires women to reclaim their power, their voice, their bodies, intuition and their bravery despite life’s struggles.
If you’ve been using talk therapy for trauma or anxiety management, these trauma-informed somatic practices may compliment your therapy *

Ready to FIND HER?
The effects of trauma can linger in the nervous system and the somatic body for years. Whilst nervous system resourcing and regulation create a renewed sense of safety and connection to the body, it’s often not enough for women.
Polyvagual theory recognises three vital modes of nervous system functioning including our social engagement system, sympathetic (fight or flight) and a freeze response.
Most women struggle with a sense of freeze- feeling stuck, indecisive, inadequate and unable to move forward in their lives after trauma. Relaxation techniques, including meditation are inadequate in shifting this freeze response. The body needs to engage the sympathetic nervous system-the fight response.
Finding Her provides somatic practices that gently titrate (meaning a slow and gradual adjustment) toward the sympathetic nervous system to bring the ‘fight’ mechanisms back online. Using heat, energy and a felt sense of activation, we can then begin to plan, and move forward in life feeling empowered.
With a healthy sympathetic nervous system you’ll find a renewed sense of energy, passion, ability to set boundaries and direction in life.
About The Practices
Whilst the science of psychotherapy and trauma recovery remains valid, it remains fairly inadequate in providing nervous system support for the female body. Women are innately spiritual, intuitive and hold a deep reverence for the earth. They crave these deeper connections to spirit, to self, to nature and to each other. Often they have lost touch with their feminine embodiment, feminine rage and empowerment. FINDING HER weaves these ingredients through somatic based practices to create a complete package of trauma release, trauma transcendence and empowered embodiment.
Nervous system stabilisation
Nervous system regulation whilst nurturing a sense of trust in the body in which to journey deeper within
Feminine embodiment

Moving beyond trauma and toward empowerment is a process of moving beyond pain, and igniting passion. FINDING HER is here to support you through that journey.
